ARC Irene Run/Walk

There's no need to pick up race numbers or packs the day before. You'll receive your race number on the morning of the event during registration.

Distance & Entry Fee:

Pre-Entries

Trail Run/Walk Online Entry Fee: 3km costs R80, 5km is R110, 10km is R130, 15km is R150, and 21km is R170.

On-The-Day Entry: An extra R30 will be charged.

Kids Under 13 Years & Adults Over 60 Years: Only R80, with no additional charge for on-the-day entry.

Venue:

The event takes place at the Irene Athletics Clubhouse, located within the Agricultural Research Centre (ARC) Irene, on Nelmapius Drive, Irene, Centurion.

(For GPS navigation, use Google Maps. Although it may indicate the venue is in Doornkloof, it is actually behind Southdowns, and the directions are accurate.)

Upon arrival at the ARC Irene entrance, the gate will be closed. Please be patient as it will be opened for you. If there is a delay, feel free to hoot.

Start Time:

Registration begins at 06h15.

The race for all distances starts at 07h00.

Group start registrations close at 06h55 for the race briefing.

You may register and start anytime between 07h00 and 08h00.

The cut-off time for all distances is 11h00am.

For longer distances like 15km and 21km, the latest start time is 07h00. Only the 10km, 5km, and 3km distances can start after the group start. All distances must be completed by 10h30am.

Amenities Available At The Venue: Clubhouse offering coffee, drinks, and snacks.

Entry Includes: Marked Route, Water Tables, Finisher Medal, Venue Entry, Parking, and Vitality Points.

Walking or hiking is permitted on the 2km, 5km, 10km, and 15km routes. Water tables will be available on all routes.

Please note that the Road option uses the roads within the ARC Irene grounds only and does not extend onto public roads.

The trail routes are complete distance routes with no loops.

Make a Difference Campaign:

At the end of the race, you have the option to take your medal or donate its cost to the Make a Difference Campaign by placing it in the campaign box. You can also add any additional donations to the box. The value of these donated medals and any extra contributions will support the Make a Difference Campaign fundraiser.

At the year's end, the total amount saved will be donated to a deserving animal shelter to help improve the lives of these special pets.

• No refunds will be issued due to rain, lightning, or venue rain damage cancellation.
• No transfer of online entries if you do not attend the race.
• No license is required to participate in the run/walk.
• Cash, card, and Snapscan are accepted on the day.
