About this race
Nkowankowa Athletics Club, in partnership with African Realty Trust, is once again hosting the ART Youth Challenge Half Marathon on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at the Letaba Estate Citrus Farm in close proximity from Tzaneen.
This exciting event offers a variety of race categories: 21.1km Half Marathon, 10km Run/Walk, 5km Fun Run, and a 1 Mile (1.6km) for the young ones. The route takes you through scenic citrus orchards, fresh countryside air, and crosses the Great Letaba River, all on a tarred road and some smooth gravel, providing an enjoyable and safe environment for runners of all levels. The course is primarily flat with a few gentle hills and descents, perfect for both seasoned athletes and newcomers.

GENERAL INFORMATION:
1.All ASA/LIMA rules will apply.
2.Race officials and marshals must be obeyed at all times.
3.Online entries are available at www.entryninja.com and will close on Wednesday, June 17, 2026. The first 400 entrants 21.1km and 10km will receive a complimentary T shirt.
4.Entry Fees & Minimum Age:
- 21.1km – R250.00 (Min. age: 16)
- 10km – R180.00 (Min. age: 14)
- 5km Fun Run & 1 Mile – R80.00 (Min. age: 9)
5.Starting Times:
- 21.1km & 10km – 07h00
- 5km Fun Run – 07h30
- 1 Mile – 07h40
6.Prize Money – Proof of age for prize winners will be required. Prizes will be withheld until confirmed.
7.License requirements
7.1.All licensed athletes must wear a valid license number in front and at the back of the vest.
7.2.Temporary licensed athletes must wear temporary license numbers at the back of the vest. Temporary licenses will be available at R60.00 each.
7.3.Entrants in all races must wear an official race number on the front of the vest, and numerical age category tags must be displayed on both the front and back of the vest for Junior athletes and for athletes aged 40+ years & up.
8.Support & facilities
8.1. Water points will be available every ±3km. Medical support will also be available.
8.2.Official prize giving will take place at 09h00.
8.3.Appeals must be lodged with the organizers within 30 minutes of the finish of the race, together with the compulsory fee of R500.00.
