Embark on a refreshing outdoor journey that combines a scenic hike with a tranquil river paddle, right in the heart of Wilderness!

🥾 The Hike

Our adventure begins with a 12km circular hike, featuring an elevation gain of about 267m, which typically takes 3 to 4 hours to complete. The trail is beautifully maintained, winding through lush forests and alongside the river.

🌊 As we progress, we'll pass by Wilderness Beach, a fantastic spot where we might catch a glimpse of dolphins and whales if we're fortunate!

🚣 The Row (11:00 – 12:00)

Following the hike, enjoy a serene canoe experience on the Touw River, exploring the calm waterways towards the river mouth. Canoes come equipped with large splash-proof buckets, perfect for safeguarding your valuables such as cameras, snacks, and daypacks.

Suitable lightweight hydration pack or backpack
1–2 litres of water (depending on the distance)
Sunscreen
Hat
Shoes for Hiking/Beach/Barefoot
Trail snacks / hiking food
Lightweight windproof jacket or fleece
Beanie and gloves (depending on the weather)
A waterproof jacket is also recommended
Tip: Dressing in layers is always advisable.
