Embark on a journey that transcends the mundane and ventures into the wild.

This 11km trail, featuring an elevation gain of approximately 591m and rated 5/10, is crafted for seasoned hikers who crave genuine adventure. Expect to spend 5 to 6 hours on this trek.

⏱️ The adventure begins at 06:30 from the Trail Kiosk on Arbour Rd in George, Western Cape. We will ascend towards the Cross, then navigate the route in an anti-clockwise direction. Our path leads us through Thunderbird, briefly along the railway line, before a steep descent into a more untamed terrain.

Prepare for an experience unlike any typical hike.

As we journey, anticipate traversing a dark tunnel where bats may scatter upon our arrival 🦇. You'll wade through ankle-deep water, so expect your shoes to get wet, as we delve deeper into this hidden realm. This rugged path guides us to the secret area known locally as Narnia, where we follow a stream to a secluded waterfall.

This is a wild, immersive experience — unpredictable, exhilarating, and unforgettable.

Be warned. Be prepared. This is an epic adventure.

⛑️ Please be aware of the mandatory Emergency Kit required for all hikes by Venture Butik. (A Compact Kit is available for future hiking trips — DM me to order).

Required items:

Suitable lightweight hydration pack or backpack

1–2 litres of water

Sunscreen

Hat

Shoes with proper grip

Trail snacks / hiking food

Lightweight windproof jacket or fleece

Fingerless gloves

Headlamp
