WHAT MAKES DBX SPECIAL?

Get ready for 13 years of epic trails! The Western Cape’s premier MTB event is back and bigger than ever. Last year, nearly 1,000 riders joined the adventure, and this year promises even more excitement, challenge, and community.

And yes, the original DBX mastermind, Kevin Wood, is back on the planning team, helping craft the ultimate MTB adventure for riders of all levels!

All rides start and finish at Darling Brew (48 Caledon Street, Darling), where the atmosphere is electric and the post-ride beers are legendary. 

ROUTES

DBX 2026 offers three incredible route options, catering to all skill levels. Download KML files here: darlingbrew.co.za/pages/dbx.
🚴 23km – Slow (Ideal for beginners and social riders)

🚵 35km – Bone Crusher (A great challenge for intermediate riders)

🔥 70km – Warlord (For the hardcore adventurers!)

• Routes will be clearly marked.

•  If you go off-course, return to the last marked sign and continue.

• Sweepers and a recovery vehicle will be on standby to assist riders.

RULES & SAFETY

• Helmets are compulsory. Ride safely, keep your distance, and be mindful of fellow cyclists.

• No external assistance will be available on the route. Follow the signs and cross roads cautiously.

• Water refill stations: One at the start and one on each route.

• Thorns are common in Darling this time of year – make sure your tyres have sludge to prevent punctures.

• No spectators or route support allowed.

REGISTRATION

📅 Saturday, 30 May 2026: 05:00 – 07:00

🔹 All riders must register before participating. No exceptions.

FINISHERS & TIMING

All riders will receive a post-ride Darling Brew beer or non-alcoholic beer.
Timing powered by Myriad – results available as you cross the finish.

POST-EVENT

The Darling Brew Tasteroom will be open, with mobile coffee, beer, and food available for easy access.
