Durban International Marathon 2026

The NEWLANDS ATHLETICS CLUB proudly presents the DURBAN INTERNATIONAL MARATHON, featuring both a 42km and a 10km race. This event includes the 2026 CAA-SR 42.2km and serves as the final World Championships Qualifying Marathon Event for 2026. To qualify, men must achieve a time of 2:06:30, while women need a time of 2:23:30.

All participants who complete the race will receive medals. Athletes are advised to park at Suncoast.

The 42.2km race begins at 06:30 on Prospecton Road, with a cut-off time of 6 hours, and concludes at Moses Mabhida People’s Park. The 10km race also starts at 06:30, but from Suncoast Casino, with a cut-off time of 2 hours and 30 minutes, finishing at Moses Mabhida People’s Park.

A shuttle bus service is available for R80.00 per person to transport athletes to the starting area. The pick-up point is at Kings Park Swimming Pool, operating from 3:30am to 4:30am.
