Eduplex 6 & 24 Hour MTB RACE 2026 NEW DATE

Eduplex Sport is proud to host the first leg of the Hill and Valley 6 Hour and 24 Hour Series. 

The Eduplex Sport Bike Race is open to recreational riders and licensed athletes and will be held at the Eduplex Sport - Test Zone and Bike Park.

The Bike Park boasts a singletrack dirt loop and a pump track. For safety reasons, the sections that are included in the race are not technical.

Enter as a solo rider or as a team, depending on your riding spirit, drive and determination. The team event is a team relay with only one rider per team on the track at any given time.

Riders will ride laps of approximately 5km within the Eduplex Schools and Bike Park Grounds, ensuring the safety of all riders throughout the race. The route is flat and includes mountain bike tracks, a bit of gravel, riding through the school premises and on the sports fields, a bit of the pump track and some marshalled road crossings.

Riders complete as many laps of the circuit as they can within the allotted 24 or 6 hours. 

Please Note: All riders must bring their own rear bike light (with non-flashing mode) and a front light and/or headlamp that is strong enough to illuminate the track at night.

PLEASE NOTE - Late entries are allowed on race day at the venue, from 6:00 onwards. 

The 24 Hour event starts Saturday, 16 May at 10h00 and ends on Sunday, 17 May at 10h00 (Entry includes a breakfast bun on Sunday, camping facilities (own tent) from Friday 18:00, basic shower facilities and access to the race village). Own lights and helmets are compulsory.

The 6 Hour event starts on Saturday, 16 May at 14h00 and ends at 20h00, allowing riders to experience the thrill of riding at night. Own lights and helmets are compulsory.

The Eduplex Sport Test Zone is the venue for the race village with food and beverages available between 8:00 and 22:00. The barista stations will be open day and night for the duration of your stay. You can also pre-order prepared meals for during and after the event from Eduplex Catering and collect them at the venue. The catering staff will gladly assist in heating the meals for you.

CAMPING:

Make it a fun-filled weekend and come and camp in the middle of all the action. Camping is free. You must bring all your own gear. Eduplex Sport will get the fires going early every evening for those who want to braai their own meat. Unfortunately, electricity plug points are not readily available for the campers. We will have charging stations at the race village for your phones, computers and lights. The use of the facilities while camping is at one's own risk.

Access to the sports fields to set up camp is on Friday, 15 May from 17:00 until 21:00 and on Saturday, 16 May from 6:00 until 8:00. Vehicles left on the field will remain on the field until Sunday, 17 May, and can unfortunately only leave from 11:00 onwards. Alternative parking is available.

E-Bikes: Cyclists can ride on E-bikes as part of a team or solo, but the team or solo rider will not be eligible for prizes
