Elandskloof Trout Run 2026

Set in the picturesque Valley of the Steenkampsberg mountain range near Dullstroom, the Elandskloof Trout Farm offers a breathtaking trail running experience amidst unspoiled nature. Participants can enjoy crystal-clear streams, a waterfall, trout dams, and stunning views along the lovely trails, providing a genuine trail running adventure.

Distances:

Choose from 6km, 10km, 15km, or 21km routes.

Online Entry Fees:

The entry fee is R 100 for the 6km, R 200 for the 10km, R 250 for the 15km, and R 300 for the 21km. Please note that entries on the day will incur an additional surcharge of R 30.

Registration Venue:

Participants should register at the Elandskloof Trout Farm Lapa/Restaurant.

Registration Times:
05h30 - 07h00

Race Start Times:

The 21km race begins at 07h00, followed by the 15km at 07h15, the 10km at 07h30, and the 6km at 07h45.

All races must be completed by 11pm.

Substitution Changes:

Participants can make substitutions and changes on the morning of the race.

Food and Drinks at Elandskloof Restaurant:

On Friday night, the restaurant and bar will be open from 17h00 to 20h00. On Saturday, enjoy complimentary coffee, tea, and rusks before the race, with cool drinks, beer, and takeaways available from 07h00 to 12h00.

Water Points:

The 21km route features 4 water points, the 15km has 3, the 10km includes 2, and the 6km has 1. Each water point offers water, soft drinks, and light snacks. A hydration zone will be available for all participants at the finish line.

Prize-giving:

The prize-giving ceremony will take place at 10 am, with cash prizes awarded to the top three male and female finishers in each distance category.

Medals:

All finishers will receive a medal.

**** IMPORTANT PET FRIENDLY ARRANGEMENTS AND RULES ****

Strict rules apply throughout the weekend: all dogs must be kept on a leash at all times due to the presence of other animals at the venue.

Failure to comply will result in a R500 fine, and you may be asked to leave without a refund.

Pet Friendly Rules:

• Dogs are welcome on the 6km and 10km routes.
• All dogs must be on a leash due to the free-roaming animals on the farm.
• Only dogs participating in the trail run are allowed at the venue.
• There will be no staff available to look after your dog while you are on the trails.

Accommodation & Camping:
