• The Oryx Trail: ( 110km | 855m Elevation Gain )

  • The oryx, with its majestic horns and desert-adapted resilience, symbolizes endurance and determination.

  • During the Oryx Trail riders venture through on the quite roads guided by the silent presence of these magnificent creatures. Just as the oryx thrives in harsh conditions, cyclists push their limits under the vast Free State sky.

  • 3 Water Points

• Cowherd’s Canter ( 60km | 415m Elevation Gain )
  

  • Cows represent the rhythm of the land—the gentle sway of pastures, the contentment of grazing, and the connection to nature.

  • In the Cowherd’s Canter riders pedal alongside these bovine companions. Their eyes reflect the constellations above, reminding us of our place in the cosmic tapestry.

 The Shepherd’s Ramble

30 km | 225m Elevation Gain

• Sheep are part of the heartbeat of the Free State farm — hardy, peaceful and perfectly at home beneath the endless blue skies.

• On the Shepherd’s Ramble, riders experience the Farmstead from a different perspective, winding through quiet farm roads, open grassland and beautiful countryside.

• This shorter route is designed for riders who want to enjoy the Farmstead experience without the demands of the longer routes. It’s perfect for families, beginners, social riders and those simply looking for a scenic day out on the bike.

• Expect gentle climbs, flowing farm roads and plenty of opportunity to take in the landscape along the way.

• Like a shepherd guiding his flock across the open veld, riders follow the route through the heart of the farmstead — where the journey is just as important as the finish.
