Goat Run / Walk 2026

The Fairview Goat Run 2026 combines fun and fitness for a charitable cause.

Wine aficionados and nature lovers can eagerly anticipate the 2026 Fairview Goat Run and charity event, set to unfold at Fairview Wine Estate on 10 October 2026.

This beloved annual event welcomes participants of all ages and fitness levels, offering a variety of trail runs and hikes: 28km, 15km, 8km, and 5km, all set against the stunning backdrop of Paarl Mountain. Additionally, there is a 5km fun walk.

The "Daniel & Friends - Push forward 5Km" is priced at R150, with no charge for the person pushing the wheelchair or "buggy".

Distances

The event features several distances: the 28km starts at 7h30, the 15km at 8h00, the 8km at 8h15, the 5km run at 8h30, and the 5km fun walk at 8h45. A special category, "Daniel & Friends - Push forward 5km," is designed for disabled children and adults, including a T-shirt for the disabled participant.

Entry fees:

The entry fees are as follows: R700 for the 28km, R450 for the 15km, R300 for the 8km, R250 for the 5km run, and R200 for the 5km fun walk. Children up to 8 years old can walk for free but will not receive a goodie bag. The "Daniel & Friends - Push forward 5Km" costs R150, which includes goody bags and a T-shirt, with no fee for the person pushing the wheelchair or "buggy".

The event supports Drakenstein Hospice, Daniel and Friend's Fund, Jurie du Toit Autism Centre, and Ladles of Love.

The Goat Run is dedicated to donating the majority of its proceeds to charities in urgent need of financial support. Your entry fee will contribute to this cause, and you'll receive the BEST goodie bag ever!

Trail runners can look forward to an exciting route that ascends from vineyards to the fynbos-covered slopes and upper areas of the Paarl Mountain Nature Reserve. The event accommodates runners of all levels, but for the more adventurous "goat runners," the challenging 15km and 28km routes include summiting the impressive Paarl Rock.

A special category, "Daniel and Friends," is available for other-abled participants of all ages, offering a wheelchair-friendly and equally scenic route. This 5km category includes entry for both the person pushing a wheelchair or "buggy" and the other-abled participant.

Entry fees range from R700 to R250, with the "Daniel and Friends" category priced at R150. Participants will receive a goodie bag and T-shirt, while children up to 8 years old can walk for free but will not receive a goodie bag.

Spectators and participants can enjoy various treats on the day, including music and adorable goat kids. Visitors can also explore Fairview or the nearby Spice Route for a selection of goods, from wine, cheese, and patisserie delicacies to chocolate, biltong, and beer.

A variety of food and beverages, including Goats do Roam and Fairview wines and locally brewed beer, will be available. The prize-giving ceremony will feature numerous spot prizes.
