Groeneweide Forest 10km Hike&picnic

Join us for a wonderful forest experience in a lush and green jungle!

Prepare yourself for quite an adventure as we explore, the first being the crossing of the Kaaimans River! Groeneweide is soothing to the eye and the undergrowth is quite thick compared to other parts in the Garden Route forests.

The trails are mostly forest single tracks and paths used by woodcutters. Pack enough snacks and drinks for our picnic in the forest!

?? List of items required for all our hikes: 

? Suitable lightweight hydration-/backpack/hip pouch 

? Hydration/bottled water

? Sunscreen

? Hat/head gear

? Suitable non-slip shoes

? Snacks

? Lightweight windproof jacket

? Fleece/midlayer depending the weather

? Your own emergency items, such as bandage, small petroleum jelly, blister plasters, etc

✨ Optional items:

Fingerless gloves, hiking poles, beanie, buffs, sunglasses.

♡ Meet at the parking area, around 10h45. If the parking area is full, you will also be able to park on the grassy area on the right, before you turn into the parking area.

♡ Hike starts strictly at 11h00.
