The Hermanus Trail Run brings you a weekend of mountain and coastal running, showcasing two of the region’s most iconic landscapes: the Fernkloof Nature Reserve and the pristine Hermanus shoreline. Whether you’re an experienced trail athlete or a weekend adventurer, this event offers something for everyone. 👟🌿

DAY 1 – Fernkloof Nature Reserve

Experience pure mountain magic as you take on the rugged, scenic trails of Fernkloof. Expect flowing singletrack, technical climbs, panoramic ocean views, and beautiful fynbos-covered terrain.

Distances & Std Entry Fee

• 35km - R1200
• 25km – R1000
• 15km – R650

Both routes offer a proper mountain challenge while still being achievable for runners with moderate trail experience.

DAY 2 – Walker Bay Beach Run

Day 2 brings a completely different experience — a fast, fun, and refreshing coastal run along the Hermanus shoreline. Enjoy wide open beaches, sea air, and smooth running underfoot.

Distance & Std Entry Fee: 

• 18km – R650

This is the perfect complement to the mountain trails of Day 1, giving runners a balanced and unforgettable weekend.

The 18km Beach Run is a linear run.
