About this race

Choose your distance: 100 or 50 miler.

The 100 miler starts in the storybook town of Franschhoek and sets off on a gravel journey that is as bold as it is beautiful. From the first pedal stroke, you are pulled into the rolling landscapes of the Cape, riding through golden canola fields, past towering wind turbines and beneath dramatic mountain ranges that frame the horizon.

You will tackle rugged mountain passes, open stretches of gravel that beg you to find your rhythm, and finally descend towards the coast, where the finish line awaits at the breathtaking Benguela Cove near Hermanus. It is 100 miles of grit, perspective and unforgettable views.

The 50 miler is made for riders 15 years and older who are ready to step up to a new challenge, or who are building towards the full distance. Starting at Wolwekraal, Caledon, the halfway mark of the 100 miler, you will experience the most picturesque second half of the route all the way to Hermanus. Big scenery, big energy and a finish that feels every bit as rewarding.

The mountains are calling.
