The Lourensford Classic takes place on Saturday 19 September 2026. Riders can choose from 3 distances: 56km, 36km and 21km. This event is timed and forms part of the Western Cape’s XCM series. Riders taking part in the XCM series must make sure that they enter the correct distance for their age group. 

Sub-Juniors (13-14) or younger: Race distance:           Light 21km

Youth Men (15-16 years old): Race distance:                Classic 56km

Youth Women (15-16 years old): Race distance:           Maxi 36km

Junior Men/Women (17-18 years old): Race distance:  Classic 56km 

Elite, Sub-Veterans, Veterans, Masters Men:                Classic 56km

Master Women: Race distance:                                     Classic 56km

Grand Master Women: Race distance:                          Maxi 36km

Grand Master Men: Race distance:                               Classic 56km

Only 500 entries available

E-Bikes welcome in any of the three distances, but cannot compete for a podium position.

Early registration on Friday 18 September from 16h00 till 19h00 at the Clay Pigeon Hub, Lourensford Wine Estate. 

Late registration (for online entries only) on Saturday 19 September from 6h00 till 7h45 at the Clay Pigeon Hub, Lourensford Wine Estate.
