This time of year, there is a point in conversations, when someone says: “can you believe we’re halfway through 2026 already?”

 Whether you’ve stayed fit or need a fresh start, this is your sign to hit the trails! Join us for a scenic winter run through the beautiful Dirtopia trail system at the foot of Simonsberg. Expect fresh air, green forest paths, vineyard views—and that unmistakable Muratie magic.

📍 Venue: Dirtopia Trail Centre @ Muratie Wine Estate, Knorhoek Road, off the R44 between Stellenbosch & Klapmuts

🏃‍♀️ Distances & Start Times:

• 6km: Start at 08h45
• 11km: Start at 09h00

💰 Entry Fees: (Pre-entries close at midnight on 26 June)

• 6km – R165
• 11km – R210
• Under 18? Pre-entry is just R75! (Late entries for U18s pay normal late fee)
   Late entries will be accepted on event day at an additional cost.

⏱ Timing:
 Amarider Trail Tag required – rent one for R25. Live results for pre-entries. Late entries’ results will be available by Tuesday morning.

🌿 Route Info:
 Muratie, with its historic charm and mountain setting, offers hand-built singletrack trails through vineyards and forested paths. The routes are tweaked every time for a run on Dirtopia trails, as there are enough options to keep it interesting.

This event has been a winter favourite since 2015.
