NFB Pineapple Classic MTB Event

NFB Private Wealth Management proudly presents the inaugural NFB Pineapple Classic MTB event, an exclusive premium riding experience for our clients, their invited guests, and other avid mountain bikers in East London and surrounding areas. The event will feature friendly competition, social connection, and scenic adventure for intermediate riders, with a shorter route available for those who prefer a more relaxed ride.

Event Name: NFB Pineapple Classic MTB Event

Date: Sunday, 2 August 2026

Venue: Start and Finish at Kidds Beach Bowling Club, East London, Eastern Cape.

Race pack collection: Thursday 30 July from 12h00 to 18h00 at Oxford Striders.

Distances: 60km (long)  and 30km (short)

Event start time: 60km Long: 08h00/ 30km short 08h15 

Online Entries Close: Friday 24 July 2026 at 12h00 or when entry has reached capacity.

Entry Fees: R250 for both distances, includes Versus socks in your race pack on Thursday 30 July and a spit braai roll at the finish venue after the event.

Late Manual entries at Race Pack collection on Thursday 30 July 2026: R300 for both distances. No Cash, Card machine only.

Race Entry includes

Versus socks, fully stocked water points, one spit braai roll per rider.

Kids Area

Kids are encouraged to come, there will be a jumping castle, face painter, arts and crafts activities for them, please bring them along.

Food & Beverages

There will be vendors at the bowling club, coffee, pancakes, breakfast buns, spit braai, bar inside the bowling club etc.

Prizes

Prizes: Please stay for prize giving, some awesome lucky draws, you can only win lucky a draw if you are present at the event

There are Trophies for top 3 male and female riders in both the long and short MTB distances. (E-Bike does not qualify for trophy winning).

E-Bikes are encouraged.

MTB Rules:

No littering on route or at the venue

If you enter private lands and there is a trough, please spray for foot and mouth disease.

No Helmet= No Riding

No following vehicles apart from the sweep vehicles of the race organizer and ambulance services will be allowed on the route

No Wrist band (which you will collect at race pack collection) = No Riding

If a rider is anywhere on a public road, general traffic rules must be obeyed

E-Bikes are allowed; E-Bikes will not be allowed to win trophies.

Substitutions will be allowed. No refunds.

Someone will be there to manage the kid’s activities. They are NOT child minders. This remains the responsibilities of the parents.

This is NOT a timed event, the event is not sanctioned.

Only NFB clients in the VIP area.

Riders entering the 30 km route must be at least 15 years old on race day. Riders entering the 60 km route must be at least 18 years old on race day.
