Num-Num Trail Challenge 2026

The Num-Num Trail Challenge is a demanding mountain running event located in South Africa’s picturesque Highveld escarpment. Held on the Escarp Adventures property, the course includes steep, technical climbs and descents, with narrow single-track paths that wind through rocky outcrops, patches of indigenous forest, and open grasslands. The terrain is tough, requiring both concentration and endurance as participants navigate roots, rocks, and uneven surfaces.

Since its beginning, the event has evolved into a respected test of endurance and skill, drawing trail runners who are in search of a pure, no-frills mountain running experience, far from crowded races. With limited entries and a focus on the raw beauty and difficulty of the course, Num-Num provides a genuine connection to the wilderness and an opportunity to challenge your limits.
