RUN THE VINES 2026 SERIES PRESENTED BY FIRST ASCENT

Mark your calendars for the 4th of July 2026 and join us at Rhebokskloof for the seventh installment of the Run The Vines 2026 Series, proudly presented by First Ascent.

We are thrilled to return to Rhebokskloof, the birthplace of our journey. Our inaugural Run The Vines event took place here on 7 March 2015. What began as a modest dream has blossomed into something extraordinary.

Now, eleven years later, we come back to Rhebokskloof to honor the journey, cherish the memories, and celebrate the ongoing success of Run The Vines.

Event Details:

The 3km Manzi Water Paarl Junior Challenge is designed for kids under 8 years old and is free of charge. It starts at 8:35. Please note that the distance may vary depending on the farm. All children under 12 must be accompanied by a parent. This 3km run aims to introduce children to trail running and promote a healthy lifestyle while enjoying quality time with family and friends. This distance is intended for parents with young children and not for individual adults. Adults should participate in the 5km run.

Adults accompanying a child on the 3km run will be charged R120.

The 5km Run The Vines costs R180 and begins at 8:15. This includes a timing tag, so there is no need to rent one. Please note that a compulsory R50 Paarl Trails Trail Fee is not included.

The 10km Run The Vines is priced at R200 and starts at 8:00. It also includes a timing tag, with no rental required, but excludes the mandatory R50 Paarl Trails Trail Fee.

The 17km Run The Vines is available for R230 and kicks off at 7:30. Like the other distances, it includes a timing tag and excludes the R50 Paarl Trails Trail Fee.

Paarl Trails is a premier outdoor destination in the picturesque Cape Winelands, featuring a vast network of trails for mountain biking, hiking, and running. With routes catering to all skill levels, from beginners to seasoned adventurers, the trails offer breathtaking views of the Paarl valley and surrounding vineyards.

Since we are running on working farms, the advertised distances might not be exact. They could be slightly longer or shorter. I will strive to keep them as close to the promoted distances as possible.

Timing is managed by BoutTime. You must collect your timing tag during registration, which opens one hour before the start of the 17km race. A permanent tag can be purchased for R100 and used at all events timed by BoutTime. Live results and SMS notifications with your results and time are included.

A R50 late entry fee applies.

All unpaid entries will be removed after 3 days.

Waterpoints will be available, but it is always recommended to be self-sufficient with hydration during your run.

Hydration will be provided at the waterpoints. Please note, no food or sweets will be available, as we encourage you to support the farm and vendors after your run.

All finishers will receive medals.

Please do not leave valuables in your car. You can leave them at registration.
