Run or Hike for Palestine - fundraiser

Join us for a meaningful walk, hike, or run through the breathtaking landscapes of Koedoeslaagte Trail Park in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Vredefort Dome, as we come together in solidarity with Palestine. Participants can choose between a 5km or 11km route, with all profits donated to Gift of the Givers to support humanitarian aid in Palestine. Proudly organised by Imagine all the People and the Olive Tree Amplifiers NWU Student Society.

Likkewaan/Rooikat 5km Hike/Trail Run - (Medals to all finishers)

A moderate 5km route in the lower part of Koedoeslaagte with one climb to conquer. Lots of shade along the river front. Highlights include the Donga, the Grootklip, Oom Hansie se Huis, the Ball Bearing Climb the rapids, Die Spookhuis, and the Otter Trail.

Adults - R180 Online Entry Fee (R60 goes to Gift of the Givers)
Children (age 6yrs+) - R150 Online Entry Fee (R50 goes to Gift of the Givers)

*Late/Race-day entries: An additional amount of R20 will be added

Koedoe 11km Hike/Trail Run - (Medals to all finishers)

A fairly challenging 11km route with river front, flat lands, and the mountains. Highlights include a view of the UNESCO Vredefort Dome world heritage site (Koedoe Maintain at 1618m) and a kloof-hike along the Skilpad Trail.

Adults - R250 Online Entry Fee (R80 goes to Gift of the Givers)
Children (age 10yrs+) - R200 Online Entry Fee (R70 goes to Gift of the Givers)

Koedoeslaagte Trail Park and Venue: The park is nestled in the mountains of the Vredefort Crater UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is 12km from Parys (Free State) on the North West bank of the Vaal River.
