Stainbank Spring Trail Run

This event is proudly organised in support of the Kenneth Stainbank Honorary Officers – a group of dedicated volunteers who help maintain the nature reserve and support vital wildlife conservation and monitoring efforts within the park. 

By entering this trail run, you're not only enjoying the natural beauty of the reserve, but you're also helping us raise funds to continue this important work. 

Your support goes directly toward preserving the wildlife and environment we all cherish.

Our sponsor, MetPac-SA is a metal packaging Producer Responsibility Organisation ( PRO) dedicated to fostering environmental sustainability in line with principles of circular economy. 

Our mission is to enhance recycling efforts and reduce waste by encouraging responsible environmental practices among producers and consumers.

The Stainbank Spring Trail Run is set for the 20th of September 2026 in the Kenneth Stainbank Nature Reserve. There will be 2 distance options with something for everyone.

You can choose between the relatively easy 5km route or if you are looking for more of a challenge, we have a more technical 12km option with some single track.

The race will start and finish up at the famous Coedmore Castle at the top of the main road as you enter the reserve.

There will be water tables on route with hydration and some snacks. *Please note the water tables will be "cupless".

In order preserve the trails, no water sachets will be available at the tables. You are encouraged to carry your own hydration packs or carry a collapsible water cup.

You are welcome to use the cups provided at the tables but you cannot take them with you on the course. No litter (gels, bottles etc.) is to be left on the trail.
