Tour De Addo - Best of Nyathi

The Tour de Addo is a distinctive mountain biking event set within the vast Addo Elephant National Park, which spans approximately 1640 km². This park is renowned for its impressive wildlife, including the Big 7.

This ride, which is not a competitive race, allows a select group of 25 riders to embark on a 3-day mountain biking adventure. Participants will utilize two glamping sites located in the heart of the Addo Elephant National Park. Given the challenging terrain and presence of wildlife, the group is accompanied by armed rangers, with both a lead and a sweep vehicle to ensure everyone's safety.

The ride is designed as a social event, with daily distances ranging from 25km to 50km. Enhancing the social aspect are the luxurious tented villages that provide comfortable bedding, gourmet meals, game walks, stargazing opportunities, and engaging evening talks by intriguing personalities.

E-Bikes are warmly welcomed, and there is provision for transporting batteries during the ride and charging bikes in the evenings. With a game-drive vehicle always present, riders have the option to load their bikes and take a break if needed. The distances should not be daunting, as ample support is available to assist the group throughout the journey.

Group 1 - Racing Snakes: This group maintains an average speed of 15km/h and is ideal for those who are fit and eager to challenge themselves.

Group 2 - Relaxed and on holiday: This group travels at an average speed of 12km/h, catering to those who prefer a leisurely pace and are the slowest of the groups.
