Vensterberg Sunrise Expedition

Join us for a breathtaking sunrise at Vensterberg! This 5 km out-and-back hike, with an elevation gain of approximately 532 meters, requires a good level of fitness and will take about 5 to 6 hours to complete.

As you descend, you'll encounter a unique rock formation near the summit that frames a view of parts of George!

Enjoy the fresh air, make new friends, and engage in lively conversations with fellow hikers.

Essential items:

Headlamp
A suitable lightweight hydration pack or backpack
1–2 litres of water (depending on the distance)
Sunscreen
Hat
Shoes with good grip
Trail snacks or hiking food
A lightweight windproof jacket or fleece
Beanie and gloves (weather dependent)
A waterproof jacket is also advisable
Tip: Dressing in layers is always recommended.
