Vensterberg Sunrise Expedition3 Sun 20 Sep 2026 @ George, Western Cape

Lets experience sunrise together from Vensterberg! With 5km out&back, and approx 532m elevation, you'd need to be reasonably fit for this hike - this is a 5 hour outing.

What to expect on your way down: Close to the summit there's a formation of rocks which creates a window through which you can see parts of George! 

Lots of fresh air, new friendships and great conversations between fellow hikers.

⛑️ Please take note of the compulsory Emergency Kit required for all hikes by Venture Butik. (We have a Compact Kit available for all your future hiking excursions - DM me to order).

Required items:

Headlamp
Suitable lightweight hydration pack or backpack
1–2 litres of water (depending on the distance)
Sunscreen
Hat
Shoes with proper grip
Trail snacks / hiking food
Lightweight windproof jacket or fleece
Beanie and gloves (depending on the weather)
A waterproof jacket is also recommended
Tip: It’s always best to dress in layers.

♡ Meeting time: Please arrive at the gathering point around 04:30 (Pin drop will be communicated)
