Draft events can be edited freely:
- Go to Events in your dashboard
- Click on the draft event you want to edit
- Click the Edit button
- Make your changes
- Click "Save Draft" or "Submit for Approval"
💡 Tip: Draft events aren't visible to participants, so take your time perfecting all details before submission.
Editing Pending Approval Events
Events under admin review can still be edited:
- Navigate to the event and click Edit
- Make your changes
- Administrators will be notified of the changes
- All edits are logged in the event history
⚠️ Note: Changes to pending events are tracked. Admins can see what was modified and when.
Editing Published Events
For events that are already live and accepting registrations:
Change Request System
Published events use a change request workflow:
- Click "Request Changes" on your event
- Fill in the Change Request Form:
- Describe what you want to change
- Explain why the change is needed
- Indicate urgency if applicable
- Submit the request
- Admin will review and either:
- Approve the changes
- Request clarification
- Suggest alternatives
What Can Be Changed
Most aspects of published events can be modified:
- ✅ Event description and details
- ✅ Images and gallery
- ✅ Distances (can add new ones)
- ✅ Merchandise items
- ✅ Pricing (with restrictions)
- ⚠️ Date/Time (requires approval)
- ⚠️ Location (requires approval)
Pricing Changes
Changing prices on published events:
- Cannot decrease prices for already-registered participants
- Can add early-bird or tiered pricing
- Can increase prices for new registrations
- All existing registrations honor their paid price
Change Requests
Track your change requests:
- View all requests in the event's Comments tab
- Receive email notifications on status changes
- Communicate with admins through comments
✅ Best Practice: For urgent changes (date/venue), contact support directly in addition to submitting a change request.
