Accessing Your Dashboard

The Participant Dashboard is your central hub for all event registrations:

How to Access

  1. Go to startingline.co.za/participant-dashboard
  2. Enter your email address OR mobile number
  3. Click "Get My Tickets"
  4. Check your email for magic link
  5. Click link to instantly access dashboard
  6. No password needed!

🔐 Secure & Easy: No account creation needed. We send you a secure one-time link each time you want to access.

Magic Link

The access link:

  • Sent instantly to your email
  • Valid for 1 hour
  • One-time use only
  • Expires after access
  • Request new link anytime

Finding the Link

  • Check inbox for "Your Starting Line Dashboard"
  • If not received in 2 minutes, check spam/junk
  • Link expires? Just request a new one
  • Each request generates fresh link

Dashboard Features

Overview

Your dashboard shows:

  • 📊 Total events registered
  • 🎟️ Total tickets across all events
  • 📅 Upcoming events (next 30 days)
  • 📜 Past events
  • 💰 Total spent on registrations

Upcoming Events

See all your future events:

  • Event name and date
  • Countdown timer
  • Number of participants
  • Quick ticket download
  • Event details link
  • Organiser contact

Past Events

Access your event history:

  • All completed events
  • Historical tickets
  • Order receipts
  • Results (if published)
  • Event photos/videos

Your Orders

Each order shows:

  • Order reference number
  • Event name
  • Registration date
  • Participants included
  • Total amount paid
  • Merchandise ordered
  • Order status

Managing Your Orders

Downloading Tickets

Get your tickets anytime:

  1. Click on any event
  2. View all participants
  3. Click "Download Ticket" for individual
  4. Or "Download All" for group
  5. PDF opens in new tab
  6. Save or print as needed

Resending Tickets

Lost your original email:

  • Click "Resend Tickets"
  • Tickets emailed immediately
  • WhatsApp links refreshed
  • No limit on resends

Viewing Order Details

Click any order to see:

  • Full participant list
  • Each participant's details
  • Distance/category entered
  • Race numbers (if assigned)
  • Merchandise ordered
  • Payment breakdown
  • Order receipt

Updating Participant Details

Need to change information:

  • Contact event organiser directly
  • Organiser contact shown on dashboard
  • Provide order reference number
  • Some details can't be changed after registration
  • Early requests more likely to be accommodated

Cancellations & Refunds

To cancel or request refund:

  1. View order details
  2. Note order reference
  3. Contact organiser (not Starting Line platform)
  4. Refunds subject to event policy
  5. Some events allow transfers instead

⚠️ Event Policies: Refund and cancellation policies are set by individual event organisers, not the platform.

Results & Photos

After your event:

  • Results published to dashboard (if available)
  • See your finish time and position
  • View age category placement
  • Access event photos
  • Download certificates

Filtering & Searching

Find specific orders:

  • Filter by upcoming/past events
  • Search by event name
  • Search by order reference
  • Filter by date range
  • Sort by date or event name

Dashboard works perfectly on mobile:

  • 📱 Responsive design
  • 📱 Easy ticket access on-the-go
  • 📱 Download tickets to phone
  • 📱 Add events to calendar
  • 📱 Quick organiser contact

Privacy & Security

Your data is protected:

  • 🔒 Secure one-time access links
  • 🔒 No password to remember/leak
  • 🔒 Only accessible via your email
  • 🔒 Automatic logout after inactivity
  • 🔒 Data never shared with third parties

Need Help?

Dashboard support:

  • Can't access: Check spam folder for magic link
  • Missing orders: Confirm you used correct email/mobile
  • Wrong details: Contact event organiser
  • Technical issues: support@startingline.co.za

Multiple Email Addresses

If you've registered with different emails:

  • Each email has its own dashboard view
  • Can't merge accounts (data privacy)
  • Access each separately
  • Use one consistent email for future registrations
