Multiple ways to access your event tickets:
1. Confirmation Email
Immediately after registration:
- Check your email inbox
- Look for "Registration Confirmed" email
- Ticket PDF attached
- Or click download link in email
- Save to your device
2. WhatsApp Message
Instant ticket access:
- WhatsApp message sent to your number
- Click ticket link
- Opens PDF in browser
- Download or save
- Forward to WhatsApp contacts if needed
3. Participant Dashboard
Access all your tickets in one place:
- Go to startingline.co.za/participant-dashboard
- Enter your email address or mobile number
- Click "Get My Tickets"
- Check your email for access link
- Click link to view all your orders
- Download tickets as needed
💡 No Account Needed: You don't need to create an account. Just use your email/mobile to access tickets instantly!
4. Request Resend
Can't find your ticket:
- Check spam/junk folder first
- Use participant dashboard to resend
- Or contact event organiser
- Provide order reference or name
Ticket Information
What's On Your Ticket
Your ticket includes:
- 🎟️ Participant Name: Full name
- 🏃 Event Details: Name, date, time, venue
- 📏 Distance/Category: What you're entered in
- 🔢 Race Number: Your bib number (if assigned)
- 📱 QR Code: For electronic check-in
- 📧 Order Reference: Unique order ID
- 👕 Merchandise: Items ordered (if any)
- 📞 Organiser Contact: For questions
QR Code
The QR code is important:
- Unique to your registration
- Used for race day check-in
- Scanned at registration/pack collection
- May be scanned at start/finish
- Don't share or post publicly
⚠️ One Ticket Per Person: Each participant gets their own ticket. Don't share QR codes!
Race Number (Bib Number)
If shown on ticket:
- Pre-assigned race number
- Look for this number at pack collection
- Makes collection faster
- Some events assign numbers on race day
Ticket Formats
- PDF: Download and save to device
- Digital: View in browser/app
- Printable: Can print at home
- Mobile-Friendly: Display on phone screen
Using on Race Day
What to Bring
On event day:
- 📱 Option 1: Ticket on your phone (digital)
- 🖨️ Option 2: Printed ticket
- 🪪 ID Document: For verification (especially licensed events)
Digital Ticket (Phone)
Using your phone:
- ✅ Keep phone charged!
- ✅ Open ticket before arrival (no signal issues)
- ✅ Increase screen brightness
- ✅ Have backup screenshot saved
- ✅ Keep phone unlocked while in queue
Printed Ticket
Printing at home:
- Print clearly on A4 paper
- Ensure QR code is visible
- Fold and keep in dry place
- Don't fold through QR code
Check-In Process
- Arrive at registration/pack collection
- Join appropriate queue
- Show your ticket (QR code)
- Staff scans QR code
- Verify your details
- Show ID if requested
- Receive race pack & bib number
- Sign indemnity (if required)
✅ Early Arrival: Arrive early to avoid queues. Pack collection times are on your ticket!
Lost or Forgotten Ticket
If you forget your ticket:
- No problem! Your registration is in the system
- Tell staff your name and ID number
- They can look up your registration
- May take longer, so arrive early
- Have ID document ready
Multiple Tickets (Group)
If you registered multiple participants:
- Each person has own ticket
- Forward tickets to each participant
- Or they can check-in with you (show all tickets)
- Each person must be present to collect (event policy)
Ticket Verification
Your ticket may be scanned at:
- Pack collection/registration
- Entry to start chute
- Water points (some events)
- Finish line
- Prize giving/meal collection
Common Issues
QR Code Won't Scan:
- Increase screen brightness
- Clean phone screen
- Staff can enter order number manually
Wrong Details on Ticket:
- Contact organiser immediately
- Bring ID to prove correct details
- May need to be corrected on race day
Ticket Not Received:
- Check spam/junk folder
- Check WhatsApp messages
- Use participant dashboard
- Contact organiser with payment proof
